Summer bonfire w/ Prescribing Hope

Pictures thanks to Ngoc-Minh Nguyen
How we all doing this summer, hot I know right. Well spending time at beach is surprisingly cool and not as hot. Grab a couple of people and make some good times; I had the great pleasure of spending time with this awesome organization called Prescribing Hope. Prescribing hope is this non-profit organization that is composed of college student (mostly pre-med, pharmacy and other medical style students) so get this they all jump into a car take a trip to down south pass the boarder to México.''Prescribing Hope mission is to provide quality, sustainable medical relief for communities whose member's loves are threatened by famine, disease, poverty, neglect, or war"When they get there the give, Health exams and dish out needed meds to local people. I found that pretty awesome how they take up on themselves to help out these people. I got the chance to talk to Ngoc-Minh Nguyen one of the leads in this great organization and, I got to say I have not seen anyone so dedicated to a cause like this before. When asked for a small quote I got a small biography: check it

What I find most fascinating about this nonprofit group-Prescribing Hope-is that it was started by a student for students and communities. Meaning it is a medium for students to volunteer their time and gain experiences in the health and medical sector while contributing to a greater cause and impacting lives that are in need of assistance Communities are not just limited to that in the United States, Baja Mexico, or those that are accessible by driving. Our Hope, as our student volunteers become professionals in their respective fields, is to utilize their resources-whether it be financial, time, expertise, networks, and/or etc.-to help communities, even those overseas (Africa) who continuously seek us for help, to have continued access to health and medical care.

"My personal approach with this organization is to continue to help the organization realize its potential, work with passion, and treat each other-volunteers and communities we serve-with compassion. This is Prescribing Hope's challenge, to rally those with the same passion, to spark and initiate the change we want to see in the world." - Ngoc-Minh Nguyen
