Snow Monster

Snow Monster
So our  journey begin in the depths of Westminster/ Garden Grove area(so confusing there) , off Bolsa. As soon as you come in you are greeted by the friendly staff with a "hello welcome to snow monster". its always nice to be welcomed, next thing you know  there is the smell of fresh made Macrons (yes its pronounced Mack-a-rons, not macaroons) . we spoke with one some of the employees to get the low down on all the good stuff and what not that they do. Now first off the Macrons are made fresh there in the store my specially trained bakers. these macrons are made here at this location and then travel between the 2 store, the home base (Westminster) lets call this snow Monster 1 and the second location in Huntington beach(Snow Monster 2)yum! next thing you notice is the selection exoctic and unique ice cream flavors from, Horchata (rice drink flavor)thai tea, vanilla(who hasn't tried ) green tea, Chocolate Nutella and other varies of flavors. since we only have traditional flavors  of vnialla ,chocolate and strawberry this was quite a unique twist. even Baskin Robbin does not have these flavors. The environment is much more for older gen, like teens and college people. it is a very Warm cozy feeling that that you get when you go, also all the girls Q-T's  ;) so from us here at Formal Normal   go and check it out

Anime California 2014

Maid cafe
Due to popular  in japan “Maido Kafe” or maid cafes are slowly coming to america mostly in anime conventions, Anime California had the pleasure to host one. Since maid cafes are usually held with lots of pretty girls dressed in maid outfits to cater to the customers that sits and enjoy tea, coffee, water and light snacks. The maid cafe has a good source of leisure activity, like chit chating or
playing games as well as being entertained with performances by the hosts.
Anime California had one their first debut  conventions in Anaheim, California . Their first stab at a Maid cafe was  more interesting for first time goers,  apart for the conventions itself this event costs a little extra, about 15 bucks, but hey you get to kick it with pretty girls and 2 good looking guys ”no homo”. Now I know what you are saying, kick it with pretty girls eat some snacks drink a little coffee or a splash of tea. after an interview with the hostess  i had gotten a fairly good  the customers are not that rude and more of pic pic, as in can i take a picture with you , oh good grief that famous floating arm/hand shows up in about

80% of the pictures, the girls find it funny. this also has a 18 and up cafe version, i know i know what you are thinking “ oh so naughty”, well yeah there there is topless… guys *ahem*  i mean shirtless guys, girls are in the famous bunny outfit you know “bulma from dragon ball type”. smexy ! as far as the  event for a first time we had a lot of positive feedback from the staff, great location, great turn out first time mistakes but that's a given, you know trying to iron out them wrinkles . The girls and guys don’t get paid to run this even, they have one sponsor for the maid cafe which is Turtle Tea” shout to to turtle tea #TurtleTea #HookItUp . Overall great time check it out if you ever have the chance.

Captain Savvy's Sing-along Crew

Captain’s Savvy Sing-along crew’s panel from the first annual Anime California really spoke to me and gained my attention within the first song. I went to both regular and 18+ sets and enjoyed singing along every minute. I’ve always liked anime OSTs and influential music to being a geek/nerd but something about hearing these songs live and sung by other fellow nerds and geeks make the music really hit home and creates memories that leave you a lasting impression one why to come back to the next Anime California. CSS Crew consists of Samuel Khosravi on the lead vocals and guitar, Sean Seuss on backup vocals, guitar, and saxophone, Serj Tachyon on keyboard and guitar and Chris Bunch on bass guitar. While their lead vocalist Samuel Khosravi is on a trip to japan their

back up vocalist Sean Seuss has taken charge for the time being.
CSS Crew’s song set stretches far and wide in anime and nerd culture scene. Pokémon, Sailor Moon and Naruto’s OSTs are just some of the anime songs they play in their set. Their rough hour and forty minute set contains popular songs like the he-man version of Four Non Blondie’s what’s going on and Disney songs like Let it go from Disney’s Frozen and acoustic version of  Be a man from Mulan. Singing in Japanese or with a rough pirate accent is no problem for acting lead vocalist Sean. Zombies, Gay pirates and machines that want to kill you are just some of the themes that the Savvy Crew sings about.
I had the chance to hang out with the Savvy Crew after their 18+ show and we kicked back while I asked keyboardist Serj Tachyon about his beginnings in the Crew and is current thought. He mentioned that without the captain being there the savvy crew was still strong and I believed so too. His beginnings with the crew started with Captain Samuel approaching him before, the captain, played in panels at anime conventions. Samuel started with humble beginnings outside favorite anime conventions playing his set of songs gathering attention of convention attendees. Serj eventually joined the crew and so did other member and eventually the crew become what we know today. Simply the CSS crew are a bunch of nerds that have the gift to express and perform music that has influenced us in one way or another.

Speed Stick Gear 48 hours

So  I know it’s been a while since I have posted anything, however I have been busy with school and doctors and so many things at the moment. And my co-partner is currently on break… which I apologize for that.

Now on a Awesome note I had the chance to try this new Speed Stick Gear that was sent to me , which could not show up at a better time that now school finals are coming  which mean spending more time outside the house and more time in the library studying . So the library or Starbucks becomes your second home, and when you are hyped on coffee and long hours away from home it stacks up (sweat, tears, and whatever else is pour out). However thanks to Speed Stick that came to the rescue when they did with two new awesome 48 hours protection and incredible smelling scents of Fresh Force and Clean Peak. As soon as I got home I had gotten a package in the mail, honestly I thought it was some special someone for Valentine’s day but to my surprise it was even better , Influenster had shipped me these awesome products to review.  Now I am not saying that I don’t shower on a daily but  from a person who showers early in the morning  and gets homes around 11 or so I think this Speed stick has lived up to its   name and claim, even the morning after it smells like it was freshly applied .  So for final thoughts i will be buying more of these bad boys when I run out of the one I now.
